This contract involved the replacement of the rail bridge deck over the River Shannon at Drumsna including the supply and installation of 250 no. piles to support the concrete platform for the Demag 1375T dead wt Crane required to lift the deck sections.
Challenges overcome on the project included a remote site with 0.7km across road and ongoing liaising environmental bodies Shannon Regional Fisheries Board and waterway Ireland for traffic on the Shannon.
