Project Description

The project was located to the east of the existing R105 Strand Road & adjacent side roads, Ossory Road, Guildford/ Shamrock Place. It involved the construction of 2 steel structural bridges over the existing canal and live railway and changes in the junction of North Strand Road and Ossory Road to Toucan crossing with a re-configuration of the signal layout.

Drainage works and surfacing works were also completed on Ossory Road. Masonry restoration works were undertaken to the existing retaining wall along North strand Road. Overall the works involved the installation of concrete footpaths, tactile paving, island works, toucan crossings, road markings, signage granite paving, and all required ancillary works. There was extensive Traffic Management on this project including a temporary diversion on North Strand Road and Ossory Road to allow for the installation of both bridges.
