N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Bypass


Project Description

The project involves the design and build of 22 km of Type 2 dual carriageway, tie in junctions and several intermediate junctions from Slievereagh, west of Baile Bhuirne village to Coolcour, east of Macroom town. There are a variety of major & minor junctions, roundabouts and connections to new and existing road networks. There are over 140 structures, including 4 river crossings, 23 access under/over bridges, 13 retaining wall structures and over 50 culverts. The earthworks required cut and fill of over 2.5 million cubic meters of material.
