This scheme involved the rehabilitation of 7 no. bridges located in County Longford including Scry, Kilnsavogue Ballymahon, Sands, Ballyglassin, Cartron, and Ardnaguillon Bridges. Each of the sites was located on either a National Primary or Secondary road.
The scope of the works varied and included:
• River Diversion works
• Replace existing bridge/ parapets with precast box culverts
• Road pavement, safety barrier, fencing works
• Rubbing strip, safety barrier & fencing works
• Instream scour protection works
• Waterproofing & re-surfacing works
• Protection & diversion of existing services
• Masonry & parapet repair
• Traffic Management
• Installation of sheet pile cofferdam
