Jons Civil Engineering/John Cradock Ltd JV were awarded the Cherrywood Infrastructure Phase 1 works by Hines Ireland in October 2016. The project is the first works on site on the 400 hectare Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone, in south Co. Dublin.
It is a multi-disciplinary project with a wide variety of challenges both technical and operational. The key aspects of the project were:
• 5.4km of internal roads, incorporating 9km of cycle tracks and 8km of footpaths
• Upgrade of the existing Wyattville Roundabout to a fully signalised junction, completed in live traffic environment
• Major services installation to facilitate the future development on site including gravity storm sewer and foul sewer, watermain, gas main, ESB double circuit and power, communications and lighting ducting
• 50 hectares of parkland development at Beckett, Tully & Ticknick Parks, including hard and soft landscaping, sports facilities and pavilion building
