Jons commence on Carbon Ladder Journey
Jons Civil Engineering are delighted to be part of TII’s CO2 Performance Ladder pilot on the M7 Kildare Bypass Pavement Scheme – Phase 1. This is a great initiative for promoting sustainable practices and reducing carbon emissions within the procurement system.
Jons have registered with (SKAO), the owner and manager of the CO2 Performance Ladder. The Ladder empowers organisations to effectively manage and mitigate their carbon footprint across operations, projects, and supply chains, while also serving as a procurement tool. We have commenced collaborative discussions with our key Subcontractors Kilsaran, Highway Markings, Ryan Planings, McGuire Haulage and TMI on this project to look at the best initiatives we can implement collectively to reduce the Carbon footprint on this project.
We are excited to see how this strategy can help us decarbonise on this resurfacing project and look forward to seeing the results.
This Resurfacing of the M7 Motorway eastbound carriageway between MP 39.0 and MP 50.2 is due to commence next month, June 2024.
